Electro-Voice Lineup Tour | ZLX G2, Everse & Evolve Series | I DJ NOW
Today we're joined by Steve from Electro-Voice and we're going to be looking at some of the latest offerings including the ZLX-G2 series, the EVERSE series and the EVOLVE series.
ZLX-G2 Series
The current lineup includes a 15”, 12” and new to the ZLX G2 lineup, 8” model.
The largest changes come with the introduction of a new 8 inch model, a new Hi-Z Input (no direct box necessary for guitar inputs!), Bluetooth linking 2 speakers together to create a stereo setup, the ability for the 12" and 15" to be kicked back 25°, and a large full color Quicksmart DSP display. The ¼” XLR combo inputs on the back are equipped with 24v phantom power if you want to run a condenser microphone.
These speakers are capable of some serious SPL outputs:
- 8" - 126db
- 12" - 127db
- 15" - 129db
The EV QuickSmart Mobile app can be used to adjust all audio, effects and mix functions via phone or tablet. An intuitive user interface makes it simple to shape the sound to the space, so users can focus on their performance instead of the hardware.
EVERSE Series
Need something portable and battery powered? The EVERSE series has you covered with both an 8” and 12” model. Coming in with SPLs of 121 and 126 respectively, these speakers pack a big punch while retaining the rich feature set available with the QuickSmart DSP built right in to both models. Both speakers are IP43 rated with an under-grille hydrophobic mesh, for additional weather protection the EVERSE 12 is available with a rain cover (sold separately). Additional accessories include shelves that can be affixed to the tops of the speakers to mount a wireless receiver and a duffel bag capable of fitting two EVERSE 8s or one EVERSE 12. The EVERSE line is the pro-audio system you can grab to go.
EVOLVE Series
Need an all in one solution for events like corporate A/V? The EVOLVE Column array series is for you. Cranking out 1000W and a max SPL of 127, The VOLVE 50 is equipped with 8 3½” high frequency drivers outputting a 120° horizontal by 40° vertical asymmetrical pattern. Handling the bottom end is a 12" sub, connected through the spacer pole with no linking XLR required. 15V phantom power is available from the combo XLR / ¼” input. For more in depth controls, the Evolve 50M features a built in 8 channel mixer. Want all the control and convenience but don't need as much output? The Evolve 30M retains the 8 channel mixer but with a smaller price tag and a max SPL of 123. All three variants are available in both black and white color options.
